Vishay Film Capacitors is pleased to announce that we are
progressively eliminating Halogen from our film capacitors.
This change will result in modifications on the plastic case and
filling epoxy, which will both become black. This will make the new
shipments easily identifiable by component color. Also, from now on,
marking is possible with Vishay logo or with Vishay lettering.
Additionally, Vishay will upgrade the series MKT1817/MKT1818, and on
the MKT 1817, which is currently supplied with Cu wire, Vishay will
add copper clad iron wire (fecuma) as lead wire material. The pitch
compatibility is maintained and no changes to the PCB are needed.
